Lisa C. Thomas, M.D. is a graduate of The Medical College of Pennsylvania and completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. She is board certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Thomas sees patients in the office and holds privileges to see patients at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Moses Taylor Hospital, Post Acute Medical Hospital, Regional Hospital of Scranton, and Allied Services Rehabilitation.
Dr. Thomas is the Regional Assistant Dean, North Campus and an Associate Professor of Medicine at The Commonwealth Medical College. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the Lackawanna County Medical Society where she served as past president. She also served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
In her spare time, she serves on the board for the Broadway Theater League and the Ballet Theater of Scranton.
